So this place is pretty pricey and the line (and the whole food court in general) is a giant mess. But the salad is fresh and there are many varieties, and the staff, despite having a never-ending line of hungry students, is very friendly and happy to help you. And you get a great big bowl of salad you could easily share or make your whole meal. Bread roll too if you want it. Best of all the dressing lady actually mixes the salad with your dressing so you don't get half of the salad without dressing like you usually do with a store bought salad. I got the Bently, sub pepperoncini for tomatoes, very tasty!

While working at UMD over the summer, I would go to the STAMP for lunch almost everyday. After the first week I was so tired of the unhealthy fast food options and was craving some greens so I decided to give Saladworks a try. There were a lot of choices for predesigned salads as well as an option to make your own. Every time I went I ordered a predesigned salad including the buffalo bleu, Greek, Cobb, and the Bentley with the buffalo bleu being my favorite by far. While many of the salads can be healthy, you must watch what dressings, breads, and sides you add on otherwise it can quickly become just as unhealthy as the McDonald's fries you were eying. As far as the service goes it is a mixed bag. Many do not speak very good english so there may be some miscommunications that result in a flawed order. I developed a nice quasi-friendship with the first guy on the line who would ask me about my day and knew my order but when he was not there I would sometimes get gipped on the amount of lettuce I got. Naturally I was kind of upset because I'm paying about $9 for a salad so I expect to get a good sized portion but it doesn't stop me from coming back in the food abyss called the STAMP.

Wow. I have to say this is a great alternative to the other fast food joints. I happened to try the tomato soup today and it was so good! Definitely one of my favorites but the salad was okay. It could have been better had more dressing and be tossed a little more. Not bad for campus eating.

I liked this Saladworks. It was worth the trip from Greenbelt onto the UMCP campus. Part of the fun was just walking on a college campus after all these years. The Stamp was easy to find, as was the food court. The servings at this SaladWorks aren't that generous compared to the locations I'm used to in Philly and Delaware, the prices are on the high side, AND THEY DON'T HAVE COOKIES OR BROWNIES!!! But the staff was really nice and patient. My go-tos are the Cobb, Mandarin Chicken, Fire Roasted Cabo and Chicken Caesar. With a wheat roll I'm good to go (though this place didn't have butter substitute either). And I really didn't need dessert anyway. I will definitely go back when I'm in a splurgy mood.

Great place if you like fresh salad. They have great choices and reasonable prices (unless you are a starving college student :P). I do have to warn you about the owner though. He's like the soup Nazi if you are holding up the line while trying to decide what to get. His character does grow on you after a while, but I do recommend that you make up your mind before getting in line. :)

A bit pricey for a salad, sure. But I find that a good salad is almost always worth it. I always get the Mandarin chicken salad. I'm a SUCKER for chow mein noodles! (See my review for Au Bon Pain.) Also, that oriental sesame dressing is the only would I would ever dare to consider with this salad. Baby greens, grilled chicken, mandarin oranges, craisins, cucumbers, carrots, and of course, those DELICIOUS chow mein noodles. (I am a firm believer in having something crunchy for everything - salads, soups, sandwiches, etc.) Then they give you a warm roll (standard is wheat, and I love me my wheat rolls). Slap some butter on there if you'd like. (You're having salad, so it cancels out!) I've gotten the Maryland crab soup twice and it's not bad, but it's not amazing and the soup prices coupled with the already steep-ish salad prices means I usually don't get it. Of course, hit that soup up with some saltines. The staff is usually pretty friendly when I go. They smile and make conversation. So nice for food court staffers! If they brought the price down a bit, I'd eat every lunch ever here.

A bit overprice, but good quality salad. However, some of those customers are dutchbags, I'm talking about those students that order their food there. Their annoying as hell when I gotta stand next to them in line.

One of the better stores in the chain. They are much more efficient than my local Saladworks. The people are pretty nice and work pretty fast which is good during the lunch rush. Best option in that little food court. Pricey, but there is a lot of salad and a yummy roll. If you want healthy food from stamp, the coop is much better food for much cheaper prices. The whole chain gets 3 stars, but this store is a step up.

If you eat here, get either the Mandarin Chicken Salad with Oriental Sesame dressing, or get the Autumn Harvest Salad (Turkey, craisins, sunflower seeds, corn, carrots, apple chip) with the Lite Raspberry VInaigrette. Very friendly staff, though the prices for a salad (7.49-8.49) can be pricey for college students

I eat here at least once a week since I work on campus. It's kind of expensive, but if you get a punch card your 10th salad is free - yes! They have specific salads that have all of the toppings predetermined for you, but they are flexible in that they will substitute toppings with something else. I usually create my own salad which is a little more expensive, but I get exactly what I want! All salads come with a white or wheat roll which is almost always nice a toasty. Saladworks also makes wraps, delicious smelling panini sandwiches, and soups. The line is r i d i c u l o u s l y long during the lunch time rush, but they try their best to move the line along.

"You don't win friends with salad" - Homer You're right Homer, you don't win friends, but it's also tough to make friends when you're constipated, so salads are a necessary evil from time to time. I've tried Chop't, a.k.a. the step prior to "graduating" to pureed food or slightly pre-chewed salad, and don't like it too much. I've tried Saladworks at several locations and really enjoy it. Salad - Wow. This is my first salad review (hence no "food" section). Get the Mandarin Chicken salad ($7) - lettuce spring mix, chicken, mandarin oranges, sliced cucumbers, carrots, craisins, and fried chow mein noodles served with some sort of Oriental dressing. The chicken is ok but the craisins and chow mein noodles are so good! The chow mein noodles alone could make this salad fatty approved, but what really kicks it up a notch is the dressing. It's a sesame dressing that I think consists largely of high fructose corn syrup, corn syrup, and sugar. How good is the dressing? After I'm done w/ the salad, I'll take my finger and make sure I get every last drop. Don't judge me! Let he who hasn't done the same or gnawed on some galbi bones in a restaurant cast the first stone. Location - The only other reasonably close locations I know of are in Baltimore and Union Station. This location is in the Stamp food court next to the McDonald's, and for you Terp Alums, Adele ain't quite she used to be as they FINALLY finished that project that was supposed to be done when I was an incoming freshman in '99. If you're not a student, parking is free in Lot Z after 4pm. If you go any other times, beware of the Department of Campus Parking, which would probably rank as one of the most amazing DCPs in all the land. UMCP - we don't care if you go to class, but we will find you if you are parked illegally. Service - Ahhhh...more nostalgia: sullen college workers. Actually, the employees here aren't too bad. Don't expect a smile though, esp. around 1pm since they probably woke up 10 minutes ago and rushed to work. 4 stars for the only salad I'll pay to eat that doesn't have mayonnaise as it's primary ingredient.

If you are a UMD student and you want to avoid the junk food sold in other places, Saladworks might be an option. It's an ok place for a salad, even if the dressings are quite disappointing if you are looking just for olive oil or vinegar and nothing else; the prices are a bit high too. Apart the salad, they serve a crab soup which is fine but not memorable.
